• Dahn Yoga tip: Focus on Yourself

Without a goal, we have no choice but to endlessly chase after the thoughts of others. We envy those who know more or have more than we do, and we live out our lives completely forgetting our own brains. Such things happen to us often unless we are focused on ourselves. - Dahn Yoga

    YEHA Brain Art Camp

    By Michela | May 14, 2009

YEHA Brain Art Camp? I realize that the title of this post uses a lot of terms that only a person with some experience at a Dahn Yoga Center would understand, so let me break it down for everyone else.YEHA stands for Young Earth Human Alliance. Earth Human is a term coined by Dahn Yoga founder Ilchi Lee that identifies the earth as the common bond among the many different people living on it. Making people conscious of that common bond and its significance is one way Ilchi Lee hopes to make the earth more peaceful. The Young Earth Human Alliance is a group of young adults (roughly 18-40 years of age, but that range is loose) who are experiencing this consciousness for themselves and sharing it with others.Brain Art, another term coined by Ilchi Lee (this one fairly recently), reminds us that our brains have vast creative potential–more than most of us usually use. It is unlimited in fact. With our brains we can create art of all kinds, the most important of which is the art of our lives. Our own lives are our greatest masterpieces. So “brain art” also reminds us of the mastership we can have over our own lives. This mastership comes from the minute by minute choices we make every day. These choices can be random, or they can all point to a vision in our mind’s eye that we would like to paint of our future. So the YEHA Brain Art Camp is a four-day extravaganza at which many YEHA members gather and train their body and mind with Dahn Yoga and DahnMuDo exercises so that they can experience their own power and creative potential. They hold a vision of themselves, their lives, and the earth, and grow the confidence to build it into reality. The YEHA Brain Art Camp is the latest incarnation of the YEHA Awakening Camp and the YEHA DahnMuDo Camp (and several incarnations before that). It keeps getting better and better. The video of the one that took place this past April just came out, so I thought I would share it with you. You can feel the fun and excitement, and see the DahnMuDo exercises they did. I hope you catch a little bit of their fun!

Unfortunately, Dahn yoga is a cult. It brainwashes people into believing that Ilchi Lee is “godlike” and to raise money for Dahn yoga. Don’t get involved with this; it is destructive and pathetic.

Dahn Yoga is a mind-body practice that started in Korea. It does not teach that it’s founder, Ilchi Lee, is any more “godlike” than anyone else. In fact, like some other yoga practices, through it many people discover the divinity inside themselves and all people. They realize we are all one.

Dahn Yoga gets paid legitimately for its services, and uses the money for its business development. Its members and employees also support the Earth Citizen Movement, a movement for harmonious cooperation between people and responsible stewardship of the earth.

For Dahn Yoga’s official response to negative press, the current lawsuit put forth by former employees, and the cult accusations, please visit http://dahnyogavoice.com.

I agree with Michela. Dahn Yoga has been a boon in helping me deal with stress. Here is a video of me (on right) performing “Avatar Ki Gong”. A bit thug-like but I’m having fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDQY4LR1zJc
