• Dahn Yoga tip: Focus on Yourself

Without a goal, we have no choice but to endlessly chase after the thoughts of others. We envy those who know more or have more than we do, and we live out our lives completely forgetting our own brains. Such things happen to us often unless we are focused on ourselves. - Dahn Yoga

The Importance of the Brain: The Dahn Yoga Perspective

    By Michela | January 29, 2009

Walking on BrainToday the BEST Life Media publishing team, which produces the books sold in the Dahn Yoga centers, met with author Ilchi Lee to discuss his next book (stay tuned for more information about it). I’d like to share some pearls of wisdom that he shared with us over the next few posts. The first is

“To know the brain is to know life.”

If you are already familiar with Dahn Yoga, then you already know that in the classes and workshops we focus on the brain a lot. This quote gives you the reason. The brain affects all aspects of your life and your health. If you want to create something,  you need to change your brain so that it is in line with it first.

Because the brain is so important, Ilchi Lee said people should get to know their brain when they are young. If you wait until they are 60 years old, they have missed the opportunity to understand the value of their life when they have their whole life in front of them. But once anyone understand that they have a “sacred and great brain” full of potential and creative power, they will value themselves and their life more and their lives will change.

What is your own understand about the brain?

Great post. Simple yet profound. We need to discover how our brains work NOW and not later. In that sense, we are lucky to have this knowledge today.
